Salt is a magazine devoted to the development of compassionate business thinking: a magazine by and for change agents committed to finding solutions to the world’s challenges.
To create a new magazine with a strong visual identity, with photography and imagery as a key element.
Jonathan has been involved in Salt from its inception, helping to commission the design team who created a vivid and distinctive identity. To add to this, he has photographed a monthly documentary photo story, where connection with the subjects has been crucial to the impact of the articles.
Salt really stands out from the crowd. One of the keys to this is that every issue features an original photo story with moving, engaging imagery – a rarity these days.
‘Jonathan is a multifaceted and outstanding personality who as a photographer is absolutely in a class of his own. We love our collaboration with him: not only does he delver results that surpass our expectations every time, but we also have a huge amount of fun in the process’.
‘Jonathan is a true pro. He is personable, professional and passionate, and knows how to get the best photo out of the situation, while putting his subjects at ease. He worked with me on a sensitive story with an inspirational lady who lost her hands and feet – he handled the shoot with warmth and tact, and knew instinctively what the editor was looking for’.
