TSUNAMI RELIEF AND RECONSTRUCTION 

The International Organisation for Migration and UNHCR: this involved working sensitively, with very traumatised people, and staff and volunteers working round the clock in a city that had been completely devastated.

The organisations and partners (like USAID and the Japanese government) used the images to raise donor awareness and funding.

Several assignments in Aceh and Nias over 2 years show how these organisations partnered with local people to rebuild communities: including constructing houses and public buildings, education programmes, livelihood support and anti-trafficking activities.

The Guardian needed interviews and portraits of people for a feature on the situations one month on from the Tsunami.

The UN Special Representative, Bill Clinton Official Visit. This work particularly shows the huge affection and appreciation felt for Mr Clinton by the people of Aceh and many of the aid workers on the ground. (He did not get a selfie with Bill, sadly.)
