A key focus of the institute is ‘just transition’ - how we make the essential and urgent transition from fossil fuels to renewables, and take care of the people affected by that change.

The Humber region of the UK has weathered a terminal decline in production of coal and offshore oil & gas, and is now experiencing new growth in renewable energy production, and related employment.
